I recently joined a new CCA.
The Adventure Seekers.
Actually, I was kinda forced into this CCA. LOL! I wanted to join other stuff but my friends are all into this, so I’m like uh, fine, I’ll go with you guys! But anyway, so far it’s been alright.
The main point is, my CCA starts at 6pm, so my friends and I (the same old group of people) went to have dinner together at Far East Plaza. OH OH! By the way, I had this super difficult time finding a halal chinese restaurant, because I have malay friends, and seriously, I feel for all you malays out there. I know you guys enjoy Chinese crusine but there’s hardly any affordable Chinese crusine so it’s like argh.
Anyway, the thing is, we finally decided to go to Sakura Halal Thai-Chinese Restaurant at FEP!
It is located at the highest level of FEP and hidden away in some corner. lol!
The greeting was loud and clear and the waitresses were friendly! Eventually we settled down and…
Mee Goreng $4.80

are you wondering why I order Mee Goreng? ‘Cos I wanna try it, duh! -.-
Haha! It didn’t disappoint me, it was fantastic! The noodles were fried with chilli padi, can you imagine it’s spiciness??
It was a little oily, but honestly speaking, which noodle will taste nice if it’s not!? In any case, just trust that it was delicious!
Tom Yam Soup with Chicken (S) $9+ MUST TRY

I swear this is the best appetizer for your meals! The soup is really sour and spicy! It’s even spicer than my Mee Goreng!
The soup is not very smooth though, probably because of it’s condiments and spices.
The chicken bites in the soup was tender and has absorbed the essence of the soup. Yums!
Sri Lanka Crab With Tung Hoon $12+

My very rich friend ordered this. LOL! But seriously, as much as the price might suggest it’s quality,
the taste of the dish is sad to say, ordinary.
I was expecting to taste a mouthful of superb crab beehoon replica, but disappointing enough,
the tung hoon was bland in taste and the crab, not exactly delicious.
I’m thinking there’s not much seasoning put in, perhaps to bring out the authentic taste of the crab,
but it’s not juicy enough and thus the result. Hmmm… disappointing dish.
Twin Fish Fried Rice $4.80

What were you expecting when you hear this dish’s name? For me, definitely not salted fish.
BUT BUT BUT, Murphy’s Law always happens. eeks.
Yes, my dear readers! Salted fish is one of the fish in this fried rice!
And guess what?? I have no idea what the other fish is because I didn’t find it!
The salted fish was too salty, but overall the fried rice was not too bad.
(P.S. I secretly prefer a plain hotdog and egg fried rice >.<)
Sweet and Sour Fish *MUST TRY*

DIE DIE MUST TRY! OMG!
This is an absolutely delicious dish!!! I was, initially skeptical,
I’m not a fan of sour food. But ohmygoodness,
the sweet and sour sauce was blended so well, the sourness didn’t irked me at all!
The fish was quite crispy on the outside
and when you bite it, OOOOO
softness overcome you (I have no idea how you’re gonna visualise that)
and you go, “*gasp!* OISHII”
HAHA!!
To all my readers,
did I leave you salivating for the food?
Tune in frequently to see which restaurants I’ve hunted down!
Eats. Shoots and Leaves. (after paying my bills, of course :D)

I have to say, every time I come to fooddelivery.com.sg there is another remarkable post up to read. A friend of mine was talking to me about this topic a couple weeks ago, so I think I will send them the link here and see what they say.
