5. Out of my list (Part I)

Last week, I bought this Mee Siam for my dinner.
Bought it @ Tampines Mall basement.

If I’m not wrong, from the cafe called Katrina (hopefully I spelled it correctly)

This cafe actually sells various asian food, such as
Lotong, Mee Rebus, Mee Siam (which I ordered) etc.

I loved to eat Mee Siam (without bean sprouts of course).

To me, I expect Mee Siam should be
Spicy and has this Sourness in it

It should actually increase your appetite and craving for more.

Apparently,

This is not what I expected!

Why would I say that??

Okay by looking at the picture above
Does it seem spicy to you?
.
.
.
If U answer YES
Sad to say, NO, it’s not Spicy at all!

AND

Totally NO SOURNESS

This Mee Siam is so… OILY!
It’s like every serving you eat, u can feel the oil around your mouth.

Apart from the normal ingredients that Mee Siam should have, such as
Egg, Bean Curd, Fried Onion & Chong as topping
It has this bean paste too

I’m not sure why they include in it.
(Maybe its their own secret recipes, lol)
But this (bean paste) really brings down the taste of the Mee Siam

This Mee Siam is totally out of my list from now.

However, if you like non-spicy, non-sourness Mee Siam
And
After reading this post you think “Oh, it can’t be that bad right?”

You can try it out and let me know how you think of it
Or anyone here tried it before, feel free to leave a comment =)
