6. Celebration for Mothers’ Day (Part I)

Last week was Mother’s Day
Did u all had a great celebration? I hope u all did!
Mother’s day is always about gathering, chit-chatting, enjoying
good foods and of course CAKES!
How could anyone forget about buying cakes??
(If u did, next year dun forget ar, LOL)
It’s my first time buying cake from this bakery store – Yamazaki
Located @TampinesOne, Basement level.
The reason why I choose this bakery store is becos we just need a cake. HAHA
And YES, the reason is as simple as that.
It might seem that this bakery store is no different from other bakery store
Except for the Queue, long queue with lots of people.
It must be 1 of the popular bakery around Tampines, HAHA
Anyway, we still need a cake, so we bought the
BLACK FOREST CAKE
500gram, S$26.00
(limited choice, as it’s a HOT date, so most of the cakes were sold out)

Opps, it seems like I’ve forgotten to remove the plastic

Ok, here’s a better picture of the cake.
This cake is suitable for 6-8 persons
(I assume u slice it according to the strawberry placement)
Just a capture of a berry
Woo, look Yummy right? =)
And indeed it does!!
This cake had just the right sweetness
Top coating of chocolate flake, which I think, is Dark Chocolate
Which is great, as dark chocolate help to reduce stress =)
Apart from the chocolate, the Cream plays an important role too
I don’t often eat cream
But for this, an exception, a not too sweet cream.
Perhaps they used a low-fat cream (haha)
And if U have a love for cream, you will love this.
*Look the middle layer is all CREAM*
Being sandwich by chocolate sponge layer and cream is the so-called Cherry Jam
(not sure whether it’s right to name this *LOL)
It’s kind of sweet rather than sourness, and beware as the jam will seep out
Well, overall this is one great cake I recommend to everyone.
Also, apart from cakes, Yamazaki also bakes various fancy breads
(any particular type to recommend??)
