Share some love...

While Afiko Pte Ltd is committed to bringing your favourite restaurant cuisine to your doorstep, providing you with luxurious convenience, we also seek to reach out to the less fortunate as well. A multitude of destitute people, with very broken lives, can find much relief and comfort from even a small token of love. We count it our privilege and joy to use a part of our revenue to support worthy charitable causes. And for those of you who have become our customers and want to play a part in this meaningful work, you will be glad to know that $1 will be donated to such causes with every $50 revenue earned by Afiko Pte Ltd.

Give some hope...Our first adopted charity organisation is Radion International. Our director, Peter Lim, is a close friend of the Radion founder, and has personally been to Thailand to witness and participate in their relief operations. Below is a brief description of the humanitarian work they are involved in. For more details on their outreaches, please visit www.radion-international.org/about-us. Feel free to give generously on your own capacity to Radion International if you wish to do so. On behalf of the beneficiaries of Radion’s work, we say a hearty, “Thank you!” to all our customers.

Radion International

RADION International is currently the only non-governmental organization serving the Hmong hilltribe village of Khek Noi—the largest Hmong community in all of Thailand. Our Program serves a combined population of about 17,000 people, consisting of Hmong-Thai villagers and Hmong-Lao refugees.

The issues facing these two populations of Hmong are quite different, yet both dire. As ethnic minorities, the Hmong are socially marginalized and treated as second-class citizens. A disproportionate number of Hmong-Thai live in poverty, lacking education and job skills. This, in turn, contributes to cycles of domestic abuse, drug use and trafficking. In contrast, the Hmong-Lao seeking asylum in Thailand have not only been refused asylum but also corralled behind barbed-wire encampments with little access to services to meet their basic needs. Radion is one of the few NGOs which have provided relief to Hmong refugees in Thailand.

Streetkids Program

The uniqueness of the CECRP (Community Empowerment & Crisis Relief Program) consists of 2 arms: the Empowerment arm and Relief arm. They allow us to empower and serve both populations of Hmong, concurrently building the capacity of rural communities and meeting their pressing needs. By providing job training, employment, and shelter, we empower past victims to reclaim their lives and contribute to rebuilding their communities from the ground up.
